The Bloop

Buckle up, Buttercup!!!🐙🪼🪸 Have a cup of coffee with me & let's explore a curious occurrence called the Bloop this SundayX ✨ *** The Bloop, a mysterious underwater sound detected in 1997, has intrigued scientists and sparked wild theories—from sea monsters to organized whales.  Here’s a concise timeline blending its history, all proposed explanations (including megalodon and Cthulhu), and recent fringe ideas about dolphins and whales, perfect for an exploration of oddities. 1997: The Bloop Emerges: NOAA’s Pacific hydrophones record an ultra-loud, low-frequency sound near 50°S 100°W, lasting one minute and detected 5,000 km apart. Its spectrogram mimics animal calls but dwarfs known marine sounds. Theories: a massive creature (bigger than a 120-ft blue whale), a surviving megalodon (extinct shark), Cthulhu (near Lovecraft’s R’lyeh), military tests, or an earthquake.   Research:  Compare the Bloop’s audio (available online) to whale calls using audio...

User Experience: Healthcare in North America (Supply Chain Issues)

I lost my Mother in February. I had the honor of having her move in with me for the last nine months of her life. I envisioned special moments for us, showing her around my new home in Kentucky since 2014- and all that goes with making the most of our time with our Mother.  We did have good times and good talks. However, it was constantly overshadowed by navigating the healthcare system on her behalf & acting as her advocate to the best of my ability for aspects of her care. At the same time, I was holding down a full-time job.  I had already exhausted my paid time off and had no more resources to use to be off work and keep the lights on-this compounded our stress. I felt like I was failing.  She initially got sick in Oklahoma and spent a month in the hospital in Arkansas. When she recovered enough to discharge home, we moved her in with us in our home in Kentucky.  I've experienced the healthcare system in two different regions during her care. I was tak...

5 Stars for Acer Spin 514 Chromebook/Google AMD Raven Ridge

I got a new Acer Spin 514 Chromebook/Google AMD Raven Ridge. I love it! I'm talking over the moon; happy with it so far… My Dad informed me the Chromebook is related to Linux & this intrigues me.  Dad was an early Linux adopter/enthusiast. It seems like I remember him telling me it took days to download Linux; not sure how long the installation took. I'll increase my basic understanding of Linux in the coming days. The Pixel phone has been my choice for a while now; I've been an Android devotee for longer than I've been a Google phone lover & haven't had a laptop/desktop without Windows on it, ever. And I always got along with my phone better than my laptop! Go figure!  Familiarizing myself with the new Chromebook, here is an observation that became apparent to me- Most of my monthly spending (outside of the usual necessary expenses) is to stay connected to the outside world…tech, streaming fees, cloud storage…upgrading tech, more storage, etc. I'm even...
